Phone having trouble playing music over bluetooth

anyone have their phone not be able to play bluetooth music thru their radio? I'm having issues occasionally on mine, wonder if its a thing warranty can cover

 

There is an update, but warranty is only 3 year 36k miles.

well my truck only has 15k miles it should be under warranty still being a 2016, what do you mean by update can you explain more about it? thanks

 

A 16 with 15k? I take it she isn't your daily driver?

 

yeah i harldy drive her carpool to work so its parked in the garage

 

Try rebooting your phone to see if that helps the music issue.

 

good idea ive done it and still seems to act up looking like its not a common issue huh

 

My 18 has issues from time to time. Lately tho sometimes I'll get in and the radio will boot up 2 to 3 times before thinking about playing music.

 

mine as well, I have to reconnect the bluetooth thru my phone.

 

I’ve had my 2017 less than a week and have already had Bluetooth issues. Happens when I’m listening to music from my phone and then take a phone call. When I end the call the music plays out of the phone instead of the truck speakers. Funny, I can still fast forward, skip songs through the stereo, but it won’t play through the speakers. The only way to get it to work correctly is to turn off my Bluetooth on my phone settings and then back on. This isn’t something I prefer to do while driving!

 

You might also try changing the Bluetooth settings (version, audio codec) on your phone to see if that makes any difference.

 

OP did you ever solve this problem? My 2018 OR non JBL does this too.

 

it just stoped acting up on its own lately its been working fine
