Like the title says show me pics of your DMH-WT7600NEX in a 2nd Gen Tacoma. I can't find anything searching the forum. Bonus points if you can show the side angle shot and identify which dash mount kit you used.

Oddly I can't find anything on TacomaWorld, Google, Crutchfield, or any other popular audio/electroncs sites. Popular for 3rd Gen but no 2nd Gen'Rs. Someone has to have done this, right?

    Thanks in advance!

Edit: Adding running list of links in case anyone else wants to know what this looks like.

Interesting thanks! That one escaped my searching.

@JR SLASH 33 - you wouldn't happen to have any side angle views of the Pioneer 7600, would you? I'm trying to decide if I can move this far enough back in the mounting hole to suit my aesthetic tastes.

The screen is plenty bright driving during the day. Never felt disappointed in the brightness. Even if there is a momentary glare on the screen, u can use steering wheel controls to skip songs and trigger your voice assistant. (I'll edit this post and add photos in direct sunlight tomorrow)

Here's a photo taken at 2pm, my hand is there to show the direct sunlight. Is plenty bright and clear. Now I'm sure if you were driving South at like 6pm on the highway in a straight line with the sun to your back, the glare would be worse, but that's a very specific scenario. @Caboose69

Is there a way you can mount it lower basically covering that hole below it? If I were to get it, I would have OCD and want it level lol

It is height adjustable, but not on the fly. There's a plastic cover that snaps off the back, uncovering rails and the monitor would unscrew from the body. I had mine installed for me so I don't know for certain if it can come down lower considering the radio is a single din and fairly universal, and the dash kit is vehicle specific.

This is the pocket, it looks kinda unfinished in there. Would be nice to have painted it black on the inside.

Any sense of how solid this setup is? I’ve been off roading a lot recently and worry about how solidly the screen is attached. Don’t want to buy something like this if there’s a risk of it bouncing around.

Oh yeah it's in there real solid, it's not like a flip out style screen that retracts into the deck. I would say it's not easily adjustable either, since I've never done it. But It does have some creaking noises when you're tapping the screen if you press firm enough.

a lotta money spent, lotta scars made
It felt kinda flimsy when I test fitted it, so I braced the back...added some foam n zip ties...solid as a rock now

Just got my 7600 installed. I used a double din dash kit (since I was upgrading my old 4200nex unit) and I like how it sits on the dash. In case anyone was wondering the pioneer wiring seems to all be the same too so all I had to do was unplug my 4200nex and plug in the 7600nex. Took me 20mins to install.

Wow awesome thanks for sharing, that looks great!! That's exactly what I originally wanted to do but I ended up going smaller with the W4660NEX instead because I'm a chicken lol. That being said I'm not sad about it and I don't think anyone can go wrong with either setup.

After playing around with my Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX for 6 months and having numerous issues with installation at Bestbuy, I decided to swap it with a 9"
DMH-WT3800NEX, it will be installed next week.
It will probably NOT be installed as high as JR SLASH 33 has installed it but something similar to the one from Skibum 90.

Did you ever put in that 3800NEX? I'm thinking about getting one.
