It's not good for high quality work, it strips EXIF data and doesn't like libraries. It is good for cat pics and memeing though. Plus its compression factor is a bit too steep. Again good for memeing, bad for good quality pictures, flickr is where its at for good quality photos. Plus their (Imgur) Terms of Service state they don't really like it used for our kind of forum stuff (maintaining your own library of links).

Never realized it strips the EXIF data. For years I always used a program to strip the EXIF data for sake of privacy, I never realized Imgur already did that.

I like it because it's simple and you don't need an account. You drag a photo to the screen and it takes 3-4 seconds until you have an embeddable link.

It's kind of like Apple vs. Android. Apple's appeal is the pure simplicity. Android had way more features and is arguably better, but in my opinion Apple will always have the ease of user interface on their side.

Haha that "ease" has always dumbed things down too far for even me. I tried to switch to iOS earlier this year and just couldn't do it. Only made it a week before I was pissed that I had to pull out my laptop to get certain things done on just the web. Wasn't good for my remote management software either. Too much functionality is missing for the cost. At least Imgur turns the quality of your stuff down for free, it certainly is convenient for things that aren't too important, but again their ToS could be the reason it goes missing all of a sudden.

Haha I guess I'm too used to iOS at this point. My first computer was an ancient Dell Optiplex from the late 90's. That damn AOL dial up noise will be forever engrained into my memory.

My first phone was actually an iPhone. I've bought one every single time there's a new generation.

Besides this generation. This generation sucks. No headphone jack, really?

I feel like Apple started going downhill quality wise when Jobs died in 2010. Man Steve would be rolling in his grave learning how Apple's new phones and laptops are even worse than they were a couple years ago.

Eh back to Photobucket. $400 sounds insane for third party hosting. I've never really used it, at one point I used Flickr but I didn't like it. It's always been Imgur for me, probably because I use Reddit religiously. That was my go-to forum before I discovered this hellhole wonderful place.

    FOUND THIS:

Google Chrome offers a plug-in to allow longtime Photofukit users to download all their images was by purchasing and installing the plugin 'Photobucket Album Downloader' It was $2. I'm testing it now and it seems to be working great.
