That is for sure. They weren't too happy we went that far either, and had a search party looking for us that morning. It was quite the experience.

How long were y'all out there? Was it recently? Hope y'all had enough warm weather gear.

 

Fucking Semper Fi my brother. Read your trip report all the way through and I appreciate that all of you went to see a fallen brother. Nothing like that in the civilian world, even within just about all LEO departments. You guys are awesome and have a very inspiring brotherhood. Next time you head out to Oklahoma let me know, I have a shit load of buds out there at Fort Sill, even though the place is disgusting, not Jacksonville disgusting, but still I always have a good time.

 

Thanks brother, definitely agree that there isn't any brotherhood like there is in the Corps. Will def let you know next time we roll out man!

Had some pretty decent BBQ at Bigfoot BBQ last night. Not as good as Little Miss BBQ in Phx, but def was a good meal:

Up at the snowbowl eating lunch right now, went sledding today. Getting ready to come off the mtn and grab a nap, will hollar at you later depending on what time we wake up.

Nice page. I live in Queen Creek. Looking to do some type of lift like that to my truck.

 

Obviously that didn't work out.

Took my kid to buy a shirt at this place off San Fran / Birch. IDK what it's called, but it's where Bigfoot BBQ is. Anyways, got done and plan was to eat and then see if y'all wanted to grab a beer or something. So, wife & 10 year old daughter grab salads at Mix, and me and the 12 year old daughter go grab Diablo Burger outside. Anyways, took forever to get my damn burger because it was busy, so by that time my wife came inside. As soon as my food comes out, I snapped a pic of it and then she grabs it and takes a big old bite because it looked good. You'd think that she'd atleast look at it, having food allergies and all, but she didn't..... and that's how we spent the rest of the evening inside while she suffered from eating avocados, which she's highly allergic to.

Didn't have to make a trip to the ER though, so still a win.

 

And alas, another recommendation for food places in Flagstaff: Diable Burger was good. This one was the Señor Smoke w/ ancho grilled onions, grilled avocado, bacon, cilantro & sriracha mayo. Thought it would be bigger, but was def good.

 

Diablo makes small, expensive, but good burgers. They are always busy. I recommend Mama Burger as well for a good burger. Well at least you didnt have to go the ER. Let me know next time you plan on coming up and we will get a beer.

Had gone out earlier today and drove the Apache Trail / AZ Hwy 88 today with my daughter. Pretty overcast, but was nice to get out of the house. Random truck pics of the day..... it's not like there is much more than driving on a dirt road out there, so no action shots or anything, but we had a good time.
