PIAA 510 HID Conversion

    I'm thinking about doing this. I already did my hella 500's a few months back and they called for an h3c bulb because of the shield. Think you could use an h3c for this as well to avoid removing the shield?

    Just did this tonight, used the H3C HID bulbs and left the shields in. Seems to be better than the PIAA bulbs but not annoyingly bright to oncoming traffic.

    Thanks for the writeup, it made the job super easy!

    I don't see H3c on DDMs site...

    Im considering this. Still have my ions and while the output was fine with me. I killed two bulbs, replaced then. And then the lens cracked and burned out one. But i still like the lights so probably keep them. Been looking at some LED bulbs when i found this thread.

    Monte, if I had to do all this over again I never would have bought the PIAA's. I now run LED spots in the bumper where the PIAA's were.
