I'll see what my PIAA rep has to say about the kit next friday when he is working with me in my vendor booth.

Edit: also I'll try to have them up on my site asap, hopefully cheaper then $315 for the kit. the PIAA part number is 5454 (pictured above is not the kit, it is 510's retrofitted)

    Edit2: http://powerandplay.com/truck_accessories_parts/PIAA_5454/
    Currently not available.

I don't mind spending the $315 for the PIAA kit, I know that the quality will be the best. I have always loved PIAA, but it says that its $315 preordered!? How long before they go on sale?

When they become available I will have them for $267. The Lights behind the grill are great The are the 520 SMR extreme white driving lights. I have them angled to the sides a bit to give me full coverage, they are as bright as daylight.

Just to clarify, this is a complete kit that has everything you need for installation if your truck did not come from the factory with fogs, correct?

If so, I am very interested, although $315 seems a little high. $200 sounds much better ;)

    Bump!
And the 5454 Piaa Fog lights will fit in the OEM hole designed for fog lights right?

yes everything fits in the stock location with brackets made by PIAA to hold the larger lights. The 5454 is the kit part number not the light part number. The lights are PIAA 540's.

so are these brighter than stock? Can the PIAA just tap into the factory harness?

Yes they will be brighter but this kit is a driving light as opposed to a fog light pattern.
    Kit includes:

Two 540 Xtreme White driving lamps, two mounting brackets, wiring harness, relay, switch, and mounting hardware.

I was ably to tie into my stock fog light switch from the 510 PIAA lights I had retrofitted but I do believe it may void warranty.

Is there going to be a fog light option instead of just the driving lights? I would have thought that would be the more popular choice.

I was told by my PIAA rep that you could request the fog light pattern if ordering the lights through PIAA. Unfortunately they are currently only packaging the kit with the driving lights and that is what all the retailers/warehouses will have.

these have been in my truck since may 2008 i wonder how they will attach. Will it be oem like or is it just a 510 with a longer bolt on it like we have already done.

no The 5454 kit includes 540 series lights. They are a larger light and it includes the PIAA bracketry to mount everything.

Thanks DK for the info. My dealership installed Westin's in the facory holes and did quite the shoddy job on it. It is going back tomorrow to be fixed. I will tell them about the PIAA 5454's. I will also need to order more yellow Lamin-X for the new ones. Check out my photo's in the gallery to see their install.
