another tid bit about these PIAA lights is that the reflector housing is designed to utilize the LED light in a controlled manner for an effective light cutoff, I used the driving light version and they are very effective as an added light source in conjunction with my headlights and look good too.

If you really want to get all your front light colors the same. Throw on a set of LED daytime / turn signal bulbs like VLED's switchbacks so you can ditch those God awful (my opinion) Amber bulbs.

I am just starting to get my hands wet with some light replacement, and I have a few questions. Do you have a direct link to the harness you used for the fog light kit? And as far as the headlight bulbs, how were those to install? I'm assuming it's not just a regular bulb swap, right?

I used this harness from Amazon, Hisenook 2 piece H8/H9/H11
    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product...act_title_9?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A35X5TBOL8607M
I only used the male end of this harness. I cut off the bullet connectors that originally came on the lights and soldered on the male harness.

As for the headlights, I used the Rigidhorse H4 LED Bulb
    https://smile.amazon.com/Headlight-...&qid=1486218360&sr=1-1&keywords=rigidhorse+h4
It was a very easy install. Passenger side you have to remove the bolts holding the windshield washer bottle to move it out of the way. Driver side I just took the battery hold down bracket off and pushed the battery back and toward the engine to get enough room to access the bulb. Otherwise, the new lights are plug and play, and you can reuse the rubber dust boots from the stock bulbs. It took a minute to fiddle with the clips holding the bulb in, but a simple job overall. Just make sure to adjust afterward. I never adjusted my lights after the lift but everything seemed fine. Once I put these in, they cast a lot of light, and it made me realize how poorly adjusted my headlights were. I've had them for a month now and got flashed twice before I adjusted the lights. No problems after they're aligned properly. I'm totally happy with them.

depending on the year of your truck, you might need a different harness.
The connection style changed for a few years within the second gens

when you adjusted the headlights did you use the Allen key in the light kit that turns the filament to do it, or use the headlight assembly screws itself

Just the factory housing adjustment. I think it was mostly due to never adjusting after the lift. The light output of the new bulbs just made it a lot more noticeable. I was lighting up signs 1/2 mile down the freeway with the low beams on!

did you see in that kit where there is a Allen key slot for I am assuming adjusting the light cutoff? also I was looking at these http://www.ebay.com/itm/302193415133?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT they look identical to yours except they have Philips led chips and are 1/2 the cost.

I did get an Allen Key with the kit and they were slightly misaligned, but I fixed that before install. The box included some VERY basic instruction on adjusting that. The bulbs you posted look to be the exact same thing. These are all from China, so I'm sure they really all come from the same place. It's just a matter of how much mark up the importer wants to put on it. Even the Rigidhorse says the regular price is $249.99, but discounted to $79.99. You can pay half the price for those on Ebay but you'll be waiting 7-30 days for a package from China. I see other listings on Ebay for a few bucks more who are located in US. I'm an instant gratification guy and just found it easy to order them from Amazon Prime along with my 5lb bag of gummy bears...click link and read reviews...funny as hell

with the gummi bears its a deal, how are you liking these LEDs headlights compared to the halogens, i need to get something to match up my new fogs that are 6000k led white and perform at least as good as the halogens

It's not an exact match. When I put the fogs in, I could really tell a difference between the pure white LED's and the yellow Halogens. A few days later, I changed to the LED Headlights. They look white, but with a blue tint. When comparing to the LED Fog now, my eye catches the slightest hint of yellow/white in the fogs. Could just be an illusion. Fogs are rated at 6000k and Headlights were 6500k, so there's certainly a difference. I think they're just a little farther apart on the color spectrum, you might be able to see it in my previous post.

As far as performance, they certainly cast more light than the halogens. Glare hasn't seemed to be an issue, but I did get flashed twice on a 2 lane back road. I still think it had more to do with headlight housing alignment than the LED's being the issue. I really have no complaints so far.

thanx for the feedback, im considering getting some sort of whiter light going but im still on the fence about using the LED bulbs in stock halogen housings and how well they project the light and the cutoff. im not bothering putting in a white h4 halogen they wont produce that modern xenon look and usually have reduced operating hours too.

I had the same concern as you but figured for $80, I'd give it a shot. If nothing else I could sell to someone else or possibly return to Amazon. Plus I had a $50 gift card from Xmas so it really only cost me $30 out of pocket. Small risk IMO.
