The engine seemed fine. I had a lot of body issues. They use a lot of tape in this car, and it doesn't hold up well in a humid enviroment (Florida) at all. The rear spoiler is bolted in the center and taped on the ends, those ends wouldn't stay taped down for more than a week. There is a very soft aluminum (think beer can) skid plate under the engine in the front, it extends forward of the front wheels and is lower than the air dam, it hits on EVERYTHING. It literally scrapes going in and out of the dealership! Plus the way it is made, it is sort of like a forward shaped barb, so if you aren't careful and pull up to a parkling lot stop till the wheels touch, you will never get it off without ripping all the plastic and aluminum off the bottom. Not so much of a problem once you realize how to park it, but forget loaning it to anybody, they will destroy your undercarriage.
I also had some odd ball electrical issues related to the infotainment system. Random reboots, hangs, freezes are all the norm.
I traded it in on my Tacoma at 5K miles.

Lost the pics when I switched phones I guess. But went from a 2011 Silverado 1500 crew cab 4x4 with a 7in lift that was paid off to my 14 Tacoma dcsb. Didn’t like the lift and I do a lot of predator hunting in the winter so every bump was like what broke. Decided it would have cost more to re lift it due to factory parts being gone and wanted a smaller more capable truck for what I do so Tacoma it was. Plus I missed my tundras.

I passed by my truck sitting on the used lot for 9grand. I stopped one day to look at it and told the dealer it was a low price. Kelly Blue Book put the truck between 12 and 15. Dealer told me a lot of guys were looking at it. About a week later on Sun. morning my mom called me and told me she sees the tuck I told her about in an ad in the paper for a one day sale price of 7. I left the lot in my tuck for 6800, 7yrs 200,000 miles ago. Sold a Chevy Blazer for 350.00 just to get it out of my driveway.

I took these pictures the night I bought my Tacoma. I never thought it would be so hard to let go of a car!

'03 t4r, sr5, V8, loaded. Best vehicle I've ever owned. Torque up the ass, and almost got the same mileage as my Tacoma. Tough as a tank, also. Great ride quality, too. Still can't figure out why I didn't at least drive a newer one before buying the truck.

256K on the odometer and ran perfectly, although the transmission was periodically starting to act up.

I do like the Tacoma, but it's been a massive step down from the 4runner as an overall vehicle. I'll probably go back to a 4runner for my next vehicle.

I'm amazed by some of the fleets you guys have! I had a 2004 Grand Cherokee, leased it with 2 miles, bought it out at the end of my lease because I was 5k miles under with the intention of flipping. Decided to keep, paid it off, and then averaged more in repairs the next 9 months than my payment had been. Unloaded that for a 2009 Sierra regular cab. This isn't it, couldn't actually find a pic anywhere, but this is the same truck. I actually really enjoyed that truck and planned on driving the wheels off it.
    gmc-sierra-single-cab.jpg

Had it paid off for a couple years but started missing a backseat and it barely fit in my garage. Had to fold a mirror, had <3" on either side of the door and less than that from the ceiling. Found my 2013 DCSB in Manahattan, KS in August 2016 with only 14K miles. It was a lease return from Ft Riley, had 1 dent in the roof that looks like somebody sat on it but it doesn't show in the headliner and at 6'1" I can't see unless I stretch. I still only have 39k miles on my truck and its still worth more than I paid for it. I really don't plan on letting this one go anytime soon. Perfect size overall, perfect cab size for me, bed is big enough for what I need without anyone asking me to help move their crap all the time.

My 99 4Runner, I've owned quite a few vehicles and this one was the hardest to let go of. Lots of great memories. My 2015 Tacoma has been a great replacement though, looking forward to more mods and wheeling.

I don't have any pictures, because it would have broken the camera, but I had a beat-to-hell '98 Blazer. It had a severe gangster lean (hence, my kids named it Ilene). Almost every square inch of the body had faded or peeling paint, or cracked bond-o. The rims were corroded like they had been sitting in acid. The rear breaks didn't work. The dash was cracked and falling apart. Most electrical components didn't work. Only one wiper worked. I was starting a new business, so I bought the thing from a guy for $1900 to pull a small trailer and to haul all my tools and equipment. Something I could beat the hell out of, and no one would care.

When I hurt my back, I had to sell the business, so I decided to get me a real truck. When I traded it in for the Tacoma, Dealer game me $1500 for it, which was about $1499 more than I expected.

I traded my 13' Sierra for my 15' Tacoma. I still miss the power dearly but love the tacoma. To my knowledge It still holds the stock nnbs 6.2 truck 1/4 mile record and the way I turned it in had been a best of 13.2 @ 96 (lol).
