Lucky you. That is a very nice looking bike. Best looking R1 design in my opinion. I had a chance to buy a leftover 2006 but lacked the funds. I have a 2001 R6 that I love but wouldn't mind moving up.

I thought I was going to lose my opportunity to buy one also, got married, bought a house, trying for a kid... BUT things change, now I'm single, no kids and can do whatever the hell I want to. Never give up on your dreams!!!

BTW, Im really diggin the cool air evenings, the bike comes alive in 65 degree weather!

That is a sweet looking bike man! Like Ray said, I would LOVE to get a bike, but the LA traffic scares the shit out of me. I've seen my fair share of riders down on the pavement driving to/from work on the freeway.

^ I'm a little worried as I work in Claims for one of the Worlds most biggest Insurance Companies. I get them and hear them all day. I'm not going to mention what I've seen on a daily basis. Very similar to what Nick has mentioned.

However, I lust & yearn to ride again and its so hard to make that choice.

I'm much older now and think of things a lot more. My girl is not happy with my choice but said "OK". . .

5K on a Yamaha R6s in Mint condition is not much @ all. A simple CASH or CHECK will call it a day. I just fear my health. . .

Thank you sir, to be honest, Im not sure if there is much I will touch. Maybe a few small things here and there. I need to adjust the suspension first, I'm a few pounds lighter than the previous owner.

As far as performance mods go... its sick as it is. I have no need to go faster.

Cagle 77: lets you and me have this conversation after you have become comfortable with this bike, say 8 to 10 thousand miles. I bet you upgrade to at least a liter. Torque rules! Either I'm nuts or old. Is 54 old?
