Two choices, remove the washer screw the bugger in tighter or plug the tire!

This thread is useless. OP made his mind up before he typed the title.
Then ordered too small of a tire to start with.
    Just close this.

    How’s that for contradicting yourself?

    Suggestion, plug it.

Do you or anyone in your neighborhood own a cargo trailer with a ramp? This looks like the bumper stop on the ramp that contacts the ground.

Obviously the whatever was on the topic of new tires.... not my fault people lack comprehension as to what my goal was. If I was going to plug/patch it I would've done so without creating a thread and apparently inviting all the headache of "hey you can plug that" or "hey that's patchable".

It happened in a community center parking lot but now that you mention it that is what it could be.

Churches and community centers often use cargo trailers as excess storage for equipment, chairs etc.

I had a slow leak in one of my tires so my tire guy (me) took it off today and found this. I ask him if it was to close to the edge, he said no get the plug kit. He plugged it and hopes to get many more safe miles out of these Michelins.

When I used to work on truck/trailer tires at a shop I always pushed the plug thru with a liberal dose of cement (patch goop). Then snipped off the plug flush on both ends (inner and outer), then buffed the inner plugged area and cemented a patch there.

If the cord was damaged then the tire was scrapped.
