Picked up my 2016 TRD Sport MGM with JBL Package. Pics and opinion

Yes, back in the day of minor manufacturer problems.

The TRD OR I saw yesterday had Goodyear's on it.

 

For those who have gotten 16's, did they come with mud flaps? This one, and the one I saw yesterday do not have them.

 

They do not include them. Option only.

Good gas mileage: I'm getting 15.9 around town on my OR
Great Price: I paid close to msrp...costco will be in town by then end of the year....I'm def looking into that next time.
JBL: Wanted a JBL truck but couldn't find one allocated in an OR.

But like you...no regrets! I'm loving my SW OR! Something my wife found and loves is the DVR on the radio! Quite cool.

 

Looks fantastic. I'm most likely going with the dark grey Sport. Trying to decide between long bed and short for my first truck. Reside in the South Bay (Long Beach, Seal Beach, CA) and do 95% driving. 2 small kids, and we love camping trips and long drives to the mountains. I'm not sure the short bed will have enough space for cargo on those trips. Other than that the bed will be used for my hockey gear, groceries, and occasional home repair stuff.

Almost exactly what I'll get when my time comes. Just gorgeous.
I saw one almost identical except in the Limited yesterday, along with a super white version of yours. After looking at hundreds of pics and videos, I was, quite simply, shocked at how good these trucks look in the flesh. Appeared rock solid, thought out, and very aggressive looking. Any concerns I had about things such as the grill were a complete waste of time. Sitting in the cab, I almost felt like I was in a full size truck. I'm almost scared to test drive one now.

 

OP, what was the actual price (including the $900 freight) before tax tags and title and whatever the dealer fee was. I can't find a Costco dealer in my area but I did find a true car dealer selling for less than $500 over invoice (not including the dealer processing fee of $599). Just curious how good of a deal I'm getting. $35,816 including freight + $599 processing fee. DCLB TRD Sport 4x4 with premium and tech package. No JBL but since it's a long bed the msrp and invoice should be close to your set up

 

I'm glad to see this MGM doesn't have the colored dash surround.. do we know which trucks come with that and which don't? I'm particularly interested in an MGM TRD OR which I hope does not have it.

 

Colored seat stiching gets the matching surround.

 

The new blue back lighting for the gauges is a nice touch. I'm not sure how well that would look with that orange surround tho

 

After looking through the catalog for the new Tacoma, they show a TRD Sport with the premium and technology package and it clearly has the homelink mirror. Notice the hood scoop so it's definitely a TRD Sport

 

only problem, the brouchure has a nice little clause in it ... "options shown may not match actual production"

the homelink only comes on the limited's.

 

It was $35,830

 

If you get the black seats with the Orange stitching then the dash is orange. ONLY with the Black seats.

 

Its an Add on option. a very expensive one at that.

 

You would think the auto dimming feature would be the expensive part of that mirror, not the garage door feature. I was a bit thrown off because I saw that in their brochure then only heard it was on the Limited, unless you're in Canada, then its on the TRD
