Picking up Your New Tacoma from the Factory Yourself

Corvette buyers pay to be able to pick it up. They don’t actually pick it up from the factory, the Corvette museum acts as the dealer. This is also a $990 service

 

One piece at a time and it didn't cost me a dime.

Really liked the old refrigerator box ones, new ones, not so much. Support is ''meh'' at best.

 

I dont think the Tacomas are assembled stateside anymore - that would be a trip to Mexico. Roughly 2021 model years were the last year assembled in San Antonio.

 

A new Vette sounds a lot more exciting than a new Taco
...that said, I love my truck

 

If you need a special ceremony and vehicular baby shower for your new vehicle,,,. There’s a good chance your mother and father didn’t give you enough attention as a child.

 

I think picking up a premium sports car at a curated “factory” experience where they have a museum with all sorts of cool cars is a bit of a different experience than showing up at a dusty factory south of the border.

Ask @Superdave1.0 . A challenge was issued and accepted. However, cool old post worth bringing forward. I think it would be rad to head down to Tijuana to pick up my new Taco. Maybe run the Baja 1000 on my way home to break in the shocks.
