2016 Tacoma 4 door Sport-Doors will not lock, either with the key or the fob. All doors are closed, in park (auto), no fob inside, nor the warning for having a fob inside the cab. I can push the unlock button and the marker lights and audible sounds, I have also tried the other fob I have. Doors do not auto lock when driving or even if I push the lock button in the cab. Any ideas, looks like a trip to the dealer? It was very hot here today, 99 degrees, will see what happens in the morning.

You can adjust the fob settings to lock/unlock etc.
It's in the manual can't remember the page.

Are you saying that if you're in the truck it will not lock even when locked using the controls on your drivers side door panel using the lock and unlock buttons.

Negative. I am saying that you can adjust the lock settings in the vehicle settings. Try messing around with it, might fix the issue.

Yes, I read how to change the different fob settings, but I did not see one that said it would disable only the locking feature. Second post, yes the side door panel is not locking the doors either, nor are the doors locking when I pull the shifter out of park, which it has been doing up to this point. Passenger door lock button doesn't work either. All other buttons on the same panel work.

Sorry. I was asking the op. The lock adjustment is easy if it will actually work. If you go into the truck under vehicle and settings you're able to adjust the lock settings but I was taking what I read as the truck wouldn't lock at all.

Sounds like there's a bigger issue. If the lock buttons don't work I'd try resetting your battery on the truck. If that didn't solve it I would take it to the dealer.

Evidently the spare key is only moving a electrical switch? Doesn't lock the door either.

Do you have other simple features, like the clock resets every time you turn off the truck? The dealership could have forgotten to put in the short pin. It's in the engine compartment fuse block. It's the white fuse.....not really a fuse. But that's what it looks like.

Well, it was worth a try. Brand new vehicle....not much to go wrong with it. Have you checked the fuses? If not...then don't. If you can wait until Monday, take it to dealership and let them fixed it for you. It's what a warranty is for.

I do have to ask the stupid question though. You didn't have the door off to replace speakers or anything. Right?

Have not checked the door lock fuse, there is a separate one just for the locks, that's interesting. No, nothing taken apart, might have closed the door a little harder than normal today, since I had my hands full and used my knee.

I disconnected the battery yesterday for something else and the radio still had all my presets. Clock uses GPS for acquiring time by default.

    I would chk fuses.

Just to be 100% sure that another fob isn't hiding inside - take the one in your pocket out and set it down 20' away. Now go back to the truck, get in and push the start button.

Found the under the left side of the steering column fuse box, swapped the two 20A fuses one of which is the door locks, now have two blown fuses. The first one was hard to tell visually, but the meter says it is open. Must have a dead short, warranty repair coming up.
