socked in @ Gold Beach today, though the marine layer lifted about a mile inland and it was a gorgeous sunny day other than at the beach

Here’s a few pics from Stevens Pass since that’s about the only place I ever go besides work.

First photo is from a sweet tucked away spot I found today while burning the day off road in ONF. Spider lake, showing off the tacoma booty. Good thing for a skid plate and a brush guard
second is from Wynoochee river. I will be happy to report that from shelton,wa all roads in the ONF are open with the exception of few, No snowpack, just lots of waterfalls and creeks. NF-23 to NF 2222 was clear, Did not see a single soul while out today. I did burn a full tank today but fuck it, I had a blast, took some cool photos and found some really cool hidden gems for camping spots. I am thinking about going again this weekend.

You have a kicking setup. The fridge is getting more and more tempting.

Great camping with you, Rubin, and the rest of the gang.

Attempted to get to granite lake on friday afternoon but it was too snowed in, the snow was slush, very still much compacted and deep. Perhaps in a few more weeks or so. Found another spot not too far off the path next to bumping lake. stayed the night in a tucked away spot. Nice fire pit, bit nippy though. Went back above the same spot I went several months back overlooking the columbia on the east side of the river. Worked some contacts on 146.520 for a few hours and drank some Ipas while the wife read her GOT. The day high was 78, at night the slight breeze settled and remained at 63 degrees all night long. The next morning was great, beautiful sunrise , followed by coffee and breakfast burritos.

Last spot, attempted to get up to Lion rock, just north of ellensburg, but it was still very heavily snowed in, I got stuck.... luckily some other jeep boys were around and yanked me out with a big ass bubba rope @memario1214 that hitchlink came in handy! We settled on this spot tucked back against the woods.

Been a while since I’ve added anything. Been out exploring but haven’t been picturizing much.

First one is Malachite Lake from a month or two ago. Really pretty but the hike in the snow was rough.

    Spada Lake

Greider Lake out by Spada. Absolutely beautiful place to hike!

Last one for now is looking out over Anacortes because we were stupid and decided to go for a hike on the second hottest day of the year so far
