    Hi guys,

I’m looking for just a mild lift in the front of my truck, I’m currently running 265/75/16 wheels and want to go up to 285s so I was planning to purchase a set of front shocks (probably 5100s).

does anyone have a pic of this?

    thank you

Springs are where you get the lift. They handle the static load. The shocks need to be long enough to accommodate the lift; shocks handle the dynamic load / dampening. You will need shocks and springs. Correction: 5100s will lift the truck on stock springs, apologies for the misinformation. I stand corrected.

Unfortunately, I installed my rear suspension one day then my front suspension the following day so my pictures will not be of benefit. With the rear lifted and no front lift it was super raked.

This is my truck. Front has King 2.5s with Baja Kits UCA. The rear has king 2.5 smoothies with stock leaf springs. 16” wheels with 285/75/r16 tires. I cranked the front up to about 2.5” of lift. Yes it has a very slight nose high look, but I like that. I absolutely hate stock rake.

Quiet down Dino nuggets. It’s not everyday someone asks about lifting the front. Most of the time it’s a bunch of dorks asking about how to achieve factory rake so their truck rides ass high. Goofballs.

No need for pics, just jack up the front of your truck until your tires are just barely still touching the ground, and then step back and look at how dumb that looks.

Throw a 1 inch rear block spacer. It super easy to do and will leave the truck leveled nicely.

Side note, the reason for the stock rake is to allow for loading in the bed. One of the downsides to a front only lift or levelling lift is that you lose the effect with a fully loaded bed.

TL/DR: If you actually use your truck to haul stuff, don't level.

You'd be nose high... if you ever plan on towing or hauling some weight you want a rake (ass high.) 285's= rubbing issues, power & mpg loss. If you raise the rear go with a aal or new leaf pack.

I’m aware, that said, my cap, dirt bike, kayaks and gsd don’t weigh enough to bother me if I’m a little nose high. I don’t have an RTT because I don’t have an instagram

I hauled those exact same things in my bed pre-lift even including the GSD (add a beagle too) on stock suspension and the rear was basically on the bumpstops. The springs are soft. If you add a 3 inch lift to the front and you carry that shit in the back at the same time you will 100% look like the carolina squat trucks. It won't just be a "little nose high." At the very least replace the stock bump stops with some sumo springs if you aren't willing to lift the rear, it'll help a bit
