    You are totally off. Here is a break down of tire sizing. The first number is the tire width in mm - in this case 255mm, and to let you know 25.4mm=1inch or 2.54cm=1inch. The second number is sidewall height as a percentage of the tire width - so in this case the sidewall height is 75% of the tire width, which is 255mm - so 75% of 255mm is 191.25mm. The last number is the rim size in inches - in this case 16". So the overall height of your tires would be 16"+(2x191.25mm)=16"+15.06"=31.06"
