    That frame tho

Looks like you have an aftermarket transmission skid too. Didn't see any mention of it.

Huh, I wasn't aware of that...I'll crawl under it tomorrow and see if I can make out what the manufacturer is. Did first gens not come transmission skids?

    Wow! Nice truck!

You figure out what that switch does? Your electric fans kick on automatically when you reach a certain temp. Maybe that switch will just kick them on manually?

Nah not that I'm aware of. That looks aftermarket to me.

    Thanks!

Actually the fans don't kick on automatically, I learned this the hard way. I was out offroading in 4lo and my engine temp started climbing, as it climbed higher and higher I shut it off before it hit the red zone. That was when I figured out what the mystery switch was for inside the cab, it turns the dual electric fans on/off. Needless to say, ever since that incident I keep the switch 'on' at all times, otherwise I'm relying solely on the outside air to keep my radiator and engine cool.

I'm really not sure why the previous owner installed it this way, especially with the supercharger. The fans work great when they're on, but when they're off it's asking for trouble. I'm just glad I was keeping an eye on my temp gauge when I took her wheeling for the first time, or I may have ended up in serious trouble.

Keeping the switch 'on' is no big deal but I would like to look into hooking it up automatically one of these days, just for the added peace of mind. It's on the long to do list of mods, heh.

Well I got around to painting the passenger side wheels black today, it wasn't the prettiest of jobs (first time) but I think it came out alright. I'm a little wary of how well the paint will hold up while driving/off roading but I guess we'll see

I just traded in my '15 for an '04 TRD Off-Road on Saturday and I was a bit surprised that my fender flares weren't black like yours. Does anyone know if that's dependent on the color of the truck? Mine is Silver, and I think I can derp the flares black and have them look good. You did a good job on your wheels

haha, no worries I'll share...it was being sold by Mossy Toyota dealership in San Diego, listed at $20,000 o_O After much back and forth and me getting up to walk out, they agreed to $17k. It was a pretty square deal for the mileage (just a hair over 24,000).

I agreed to an extended warranty that covers the truck bumper to bumper until it hits 60,000 miles ...it does have low mileage but for a 12 year old supercharged truck, I wanted to play it safe. It's already come in handy actually, had a P0171 CEL (lean fuel system) that took them forever to figure out, my warranty covered almost all of the work they did.
