If the VIN says SR5, it’s an SR5

Keyless start tell me it's a Sport; along with the technology package seems to be the Sport

TRD Sport but you could try and negotiate with them on a lower priced SR5 if that's what they've got it listed as and think it is...

Most likely they've got the wrong VIN listed.

Very wrong, even the TRDs when the VIN is ran through a non Toyota generic type database come up as an SR5.

What he said^. I own a sport, drove it new off the lot. VIN pops up SR5. Truck in question is a sport with wheels swapped and the stickers taken off.

The vin will always say SR5 if it’s a TRD since TRD is a package you can add to an SR5. At least from what I’ve been told. My vin says SR5 but I have a TRD OffRoad

I’m not 100% convinced that is correct but ...
Back in the “good ole days” the SR-5 was the top of the line when it came to Toyota’s pickup line. I had an 83’ SR5 LB

But thats not always the case with every database, some just say SR5 like my USAA insurance does. You made a huge assumption/generalized statement on one source / observation. So yes you are still wrong, and its pretty obvious its a Sport, JBL, orange stitching, grille, hood scoop, etc. none of which are options for an SR5 nor would someone take the time or money to convert an SR5 with those parts. In a nutshell its a SPORT so lets not spread misinformation to OP and others, cool?

I took his word that the VIN says that it’s an SR5. Misinformation? I told everyone reading this how to find out what trim package they have, including you. If your database says that you have an SR5 when you really have a TRD, time for a new database.
