Good design can do a lot. That said, I remain skeptical until I see one of these torture tested.

Looks very nice though. Like the lower profile design.

Just the skin of the bumper the rest is 1/4in. All the bumpers out there that I'm aware of our 1/8in skin including ARB's. Most don't use the 1/4in base plate like we do though.

No they can not, we could change this in the future but the stock fogs would be much higher and I would think useless as fog lights anymore. The lights we offer with the bumper are driving lights.

Thank you, we used a very similar design on the FJC for the last 4 years and haven't had any problems with it.

I do not but I will take some and post them ASAP.

If you put a shackle in the two recovery points you can use those as high lift points.

It is possible. We have built bumpers like this before and not tied them into the side of the frame, a bottom mount would be point less but a side mount would make more sense. Were going to offer it as an option in the future.

Sorry we don't have a Tacoma and have not mounted a flat top and taken a picture yet. When we do get one in here we will be sure to do that.

Super nice work! You should have some quick sales on here for those. What's the weight on the single hoop with powdercoat?

sick bumper! but I also wonder about the strength of the bolting points for a winch, but if it works on that FJ, it should be good!

Is that Love 2 mountain bike on the license plate? I know... random.
I like the front bumper. It looks great, but still not my cup of tea. I think if I had another truck to strictly off road then I'd get one in a heart beat. :D

For the guys asking for torture testing, this design is similar to the one we've been using on FJ's for years now. The FJ bumpers we've put put out these past few years have seen all kinds of insane damage, from off roading, to drunken drivers hitting our customers, to somebody coming home from a trip and finding their FJ had been clobbered by a hit and run at the airport parking lot. Most I have ever seen done was the side wings (that's what I call them ...) getting bent up a bit from said airport incident.

Having said all that, I have a habit of looking over any competitor's products that come through the door on customer's rigs and I've become obsessed with making a superior product in my time here. This is a new design and will take some time to get some customers out there and getting them beat up a bit. I wouldn't expect anyone to pay this kind of money to "beta test" our bumpers. If you're in the market for a bumper and unsure of how ours will hold up, just give it time...

But don't wait too long! ;)

Don't get me wrong - I know you guys have always made fantastic products in the past. But having seen some other beef-cake bumpers from different fabs with a little more extensive mounting method and different materials, I'm a bit hesitant, that's all.

I'm not saying it's not a great bumper - I can't say yay or nay, I have no experience with it. I'm just saying 1/8th skin and the different mounting method makes me want to wait and see for a bit, that's all.

That's understandable. It's a fine line between overkill and strong enough. We could build a bumper out of 1/4in plate steel and mounting it down the frame, but cost of materials and weight on shipping would push most people away. We try to come up with a competitive price and product.
