I will be putting a small leveling kit on my 13 trd soon just to get a little bigger tires on it for looks and driving on the beach and looking for pics of other nice trucks with the same...

Very nice, did you just put the leveling kit on the front end or did you get a higher one that required the blocks under the rear leafs.

Okay I completely understand, what are bilstein 5100s, I am assuming they are a brand name of the front end strut spacer but has to make sure I am new to the Toyota world I am reformed from a jeep lol.

welcome young padowan. Your wallet hates you already.... if you are smart you delete this website from memory and go on with your life.

5100's are front shocks made by bilstein that have 4 levels of spring preload adjustment... 0 .85 1.75 and 2.5in of lift.

since i just bought my truck a few weeks ago and that i have never owned a Toyota.
i have no idea if my truck has a leveling kit or not.
but it appears to set level and there is a good deal of room between the tires and the wheel wells. the name bilstein is on the front shocks. is this factory??

So with the 3 inch lift and rear to level to match what would anyone recommend lt286/65r18 or 265/70r17
I am leaning toward the 285 with these rims, my truck is the dark gray. Back space is 5 with the 6 5.5 lug pattern also posting to make sure I am heading in the right direction.

It took all of 2 days for you to go from new tires and a leveling kit to new 33" tires and rims and a 3" lift ... This site will get to anyone.

I actually was already looking into the 3" lift with more in the front obviously to level it out so thought that was still considered a leveling kit. I have had 2 jeeps that were already lifted with 33's just looking to do this one myself from start to finish so new to it. Might go alittle bit smaller of a tire not sure, don't want to lift it that much and put small tires on it and have not look good. But anyway the way you put things it sounds a lot better and funnier by far.... Keep em comin the force is strong in this one...

This is exactly what I want to do. Upgrade the shocks, raise the front a little and get a slightly bigger tire. Looks perfect. No rubbing issues, right?

Very nice truck, I am torn with lifting 3 inches or just leveling and going with new wheels and just a little bigger tire.
