@awynne56 Lets revive this post!! literally just ordered the exact set up I notice you have on your truck. I ordered the Prinsu roof rack from @ and the Yakima Overhaul adjustable bed rack and am planning on throwing a hard roof top tent from @outertents on their. Does the bed rack have any wind noise @Tacomags? Its already in the mail so no matter what the answer is I'm stuck haha!! Very little info is found with the Overhaul and tents as I'm assuming Yakima wants to sell their mid height outpost.

hey there, I’m not getting much noise from the rack/tent setup. I found little info as well, but love the setup. I take the tent off whenever we aren’t camping and will even take the rack off if we’re just planning on being in town. Curious to see you’re setup!

May I ask What screws you used to hold down the ARB awning bracket to the "Yakima" 60" Bar. Did it come with them?

Jealous, everything Yakima is terribly backordered until “summer”. I’ve managed to find the rack and bars, but can’t find the “Tonneau Kit 1” to attach on the Retrax. I called our 3 local dealers, 2 literally laughed and the 3rd said he doesn’t carry them any more lol. Nowhere to be found online except some sketchy scam site.

Yea I was able to piece the Overhaul HD together with Home Depot (Bars) Amazon (Tacoma track kit and side bars) and a Toyota Dealer for the Base Overhaul.
Home Depot Box came opened and I think the all the hardware fell out. @jediwebdude if you could help me out on this not sure if the bars were supposed to come with screws or slots. Yakima site only mentions the rubber infill

People seem to have no qualms about taking hardware out of HD products and returning it, so I suppose that would be an option

Maaaaan, thank you!! I messaged him.

I’ve heard there was potentially some sort of redesign of the hardware to prevent damage to the Retrax under load. Would anyone happen to know anything about that, and when it happened if so?

yakima increased the width of the bolts that sit in the retrax rails. I had the old slightly shorter versions and called their support team about it. They sent me the new bolts at no charge. This was about 5 months ago.

this was at the lowest setting, before I put my RTT up. Had some pads for my paddle boards but they were kinda overkill TBH.

Thanks for that info, missed out on the used ones anyway so it’s looks like I’m waiting until some unknown time in the future.

Does anyone have these base plates for the Yakima overhaul hd that they’re willing to sell? I’m trying to convert it front Tonneau cover back to open bed.

Looks sweet! IMO, the Overhaul and Retrax together are the most functional way to setup a Taco. I looked at them forever but ultimately didn't want to spend the $$$ on them. In case anybody is interested, here is my truck with the black TracRac (made by Thule). You can buy all the Thule Xporter Pro accessories, locks, etc. and they work perfectly. This thing was brand new for $300. Not adjustable, but I've had adjustable ones in the past and found that I pretty much just left them in the same position all the time. Also, since it is fixed, the weight capacity is 800 lbs which is great for hauling lumber or rooftop camping. Great option for the budget-minded folks!

I've got a set from when I didn't have the retrax. Everything here but missing one bolt (photo #2). Yakima could send a spare, I've had a positive experience when asking for extra hardware. $50 plus shipping and it's yours.
