    Hi all--

Quick question: I'm thinking of doing the leaf spring update via the TSB. Someone said that it raises the rear of the truck a bit. If so, how much? I plan on pulling a trailer with my 66 Mustang or my 1951 John Deere B so I can't have bottoming issues. But, I don't want a truck that looks like a dragster, either. :)

So, anyone have pre and post pics so we can see the difference?

    Thanks!

Initially I had about 2" of lift from the TSB, now thats settled I got about 1" to 1 1/4" of lift. Truck rides far better with the new springs

When was this TSB issued? How can I check if my used tacoma had this completed or not?

Call Toyota of Escondido and say you have a harsh ride.

Saw the dealer today and asked about them covering the 09 under the 08 TSB. I told him my story and he said sure, but the tech will have to drive it around and see for himself. No problems there as it does still exist.

My question, how much does this alter the ride when the bed is unloaded? I do not move cargo A LOT, but I do it some.

    It stiffens it up considerably.

I called toyota's 1800 # and talked to them and they issued a case # to the dealership. I got a call a couple days later saying hes just needs to talk to the regional tech rep and than put the parts on order. It was really easy and painless. I have an 09 prerunner access cab.
