Rick Perry is a religious nut in his own way, nothing like Westboro Baptist but he's still a loony. The guy appointed people who believe the earth is 6000 years old to the State Education Board, banned Thomas Jefferson, writer of the Declaration of Independence, from our textbooks because of his anti-Christian attitude.. And he tried, unsuccessfully, to add creationism to the science class curriculum. He's also tried backdoor methods to funnel money for public schools into private schools but wasn't successful. I could go on but this isn't the thread to get into a debate, I simply posted pics of things that annoy me.

I have no problem with anyone simply posting pics, that is what this thread is about. It just seemed like you were trying to bag on Christians and put them all into one boat with those Westboro nuts. Or something to that affect...lol And people who do that really bug me.......

Anyways yeah I really don't like Perry too, I was just wondering what it was all about.

You're right, I did lump them all together. I didn't mean to throw all Christians under the bus, I should have left out the fish symbol

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.

Either state all the facts or the correct facts. Thomas Jefferson is not completely removed, his views on religion and separation from the state were removed. I'm not defending him or the decisions of the Texas Board of Education, but don't be like the media and only tell the side you want people to hear.

His religious views were banned and his contribution to our history was marginalized. Maybe banned wasn't the right word but it goes a lot farther than simply having his views on religion and separation of state removed. You didn't state all the facts or the correct facts either.

Yeah, we replaced our carpet with wood and put all the cut, rolled up carpet, padding and broken nail boards on the front curb and called bulk pickup. I looked out there a few hours later and it was gone so I canceled the pickup. They might be annoying but they serve a pretty important service. They bring a TON of stuff to recycling centers that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill.

I see you've been here-I won't disagree. It's sad because mother nature sure has her beauty in place..too bad people here don't appreciate it:(
