Wow. I loaded up too many pavers once. Even so, it seemed like only 1/2 the size of your load and it still weighed 1400lbs!

around 600lbs of stuff including: a smoker grill, christmas presents, 2 months worth of clothes for me and my wife, military gear, 2 rifles, a gun safe and my 95lb black lab pit mix from florida to new mexico on a lowered xrunner. not really a "bad load" for most of you, but with a 3 inch dropped xrunner on 315/30/20's, it was an interesting 1800 miles

What's a bad load? Kinda like pizza, even when it's bad it's good!

Funny story... I was picking it up for a friend at the animal hospital where it had died. I had to transport it to where it would be buried.

They had this overhead crane thing at the loading dock and dropped it in the truck for me, at which point I noticed that it was leaking. They had apparently autopsied it, but only loosely sewed it back up. It was a really big horse, and so it didn't completely fit in the bed... there was still some rigor and the legs wouldn't bend.

So... I had to drive about 20 miles up a major highway in heavy traffic, during the evening commute, hooves sticking out of the bed, and with misc horse bodily fluids dripping from my tailgate.

The horrified looks of the people passing us were priceless.

Reminds me of this. We were only about 15 miles from camp, no one else out there.

So this typically happens 3-6 times a year every time a friend decides to move, I seem to be their only friend with a truck.. The free beer afterwards usually makes up for it though

    Do dents and scratches count?
Didn't take a picture but I moved 2000lbs of anthracite coal a couple weeks ago. Had 1500 pounds on and was about an inch off the bump stops. Moved that load and came back for the last 500 pounds. Drove fine, plenty of power. Just had to take it real slow as their was hardly any suspension travel left. Only went a couple miles though. And, before anyone asks why I did not move two 1000 pound loads, we were loading my new coal shed and were not sure how much would fit. Didn't want to make more trips than I had to.
