A reverse camera is a wonderful thing. I backed into a brand new Audi A4. My bike rack took the paint down the sheet metal. That's when I got my reverse camera.
I have the screen wired to another camera on the front of the truck. I call it the on board spotter.

I'm trying to avoid that, lol. Many close call tho.

Been eyeballing the on board (front and rear) camera (display built in rear view mirror)

the CBI outback looks most similar to the Demello.

    Questions!

    1. How much does that NWTI weigh?

    2. On all of these wrap arounds do the wrap around portions have a brace that's welded to the frame?

Welded to frame, no. Demello do have support brace that is bolted to the frame from the wrap around

Thanks. I should have specified just "braced" whether welded or bolted. That Demello is sweet. Too bad it's not in production anymore.

4xi has welded side braces to the brackets that bolt to the frame. Have stood up to my use from hilift jacking and tree/rock sliding.

The CBI outback (similar to demello) has an extra brace that bolts to the frame. I think most wrap arounds do (or should!)

+1 for 4xInnovations. I’ve used it to tow a pop up with no problems

The kit weighs 70lbs but not sure of finished weight. Has mounting hardware so my guess is it bolts on but since it's a kit you could always weld on if you wanted.

yeah, totally sucked too. The owner was no where to be found. I've been hit 7 times where no one left a note. I had to leave a note. I'm pretty glad I did too. I felt much better about the whole thing.

That's really not a thing. There are millions of aftermarket bumpers on the road today. There have been for generations.

In today's litigious society, where companies get sued over hot coffee, if an after market bumper made any sort of "real" difference in a crash, the lawyers would be all over it, and *no one* would want to step in front of that train by offering aftermarket bumpers.

    And yet, here we are...

It's all about the $$$. If you're willing to fork it out, they're willing to give you a CARB EO certification.

In california, you need a CARB EO# to make everything legal nowadays. Including recreational outboard to intake system.

I don't know if you ever taken off your front/ rear bumper but the crush bar/cushion is no wider then my 12oz beer can, lol.

Maybe I'll try to find some picture of when my 98 tacoma was rear ended (I'm at a dead stop, red light) by an idoit on her phone going ~40mph I assume (she was probably going faster, but speed limit was posted at 40) and her 05 Honda accord look like a vw beetle. Haha, you call that a factory crumble zone? My plated bumper powdercoat peeled off and left a bunch scratches on it. Her accord was totalled, had to be tow while i drove home. Cop couldn't believe my truck was even involved.

...well yea, thats the point of crumple zones. If both your vehicles were built like tanks, then your bodies would have absorbed the impacts. Ever seen the video of a modern Impala crashing into a classic Impalla? It's pretty dramatic.

(Just to be clear, I'm not trying to trash on our bumpers or blame anyone. Just wondering if folks more informed had other info. Dont mean to derail this thread.) Back to the picts!

Used the exhaust hanger location for side mounts, holes are mirrored in drivers side.
