I'm not a huge chrome fan but I like it here and there if it's done right.
I just wanted all clear heads and tails.

Mind if I ask where you got the tail lights? I'm like you, not a fan of chrome but those look great! Kind of blend into the color of the truck. I think they would terrible on most any other color but white they look perfect. Good find!

Agreed. Fugly on any other color truck. They do blend with the truck and that's why I got them. Hated the ugly ass bright red.

Bought them off ebay years ago. Haven't seen them since.

The dealer snuck some plastic chrome wheel covers on mine just before I picked it up. They aren't worthy of a picture. ...

I was set on black, but everyone in the state has black wheels here. The lighter color is starting to grow on me because I think it looks better with a black truck. What wheels are these? Absolutely kick ass.

Thread revival.. Black and chrome for FTMFW. That being said, it needs to be done right. I love black wheels but everyone and their mother seems to have black wheels these days.

Vehicle was purchased used with running boards, 3" lift, 17" Moto Metal wheels, BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires, bed liner, tow package, and bike hooks. Mods Added (ongoing): Hood w/ Scoop (inbound)...
My Taco came with 17" chrome Moto Metal wheels when I purchased it used. I don't feel the need to change them out at this time. However, the center caps are a bit beat up, so I will probably replace them with black ones for a bit of contrast.

Personally... I like the black but that is just "my" opinion. I realize a lot of people feel black is played out and I get it. But I love the look of the black wheels on your truck.

    nothing cool
I had a set of Chrome rims on my 1998 Cobra. Hated them. They looked good from beyond 10 ft but up close they were destroyed from Kansas winter roads. It was my daily driver at the time so there was no getting around it. I think they make chrome wheels with a clear coat over them? Those would have been nice to know about back in the day. I don't mind the chrome look on any vehicle as long as it doesn't have a bunch of chrome accessories also (door handles, grille, grille insert, chrome steps, stick on fake side vent things, vent visors etc.)

I know since I changed to the black wheels I've had many complements which I rarely got with the chrome. along with the black wheels I also when to a color matching grill surround which I think helped the look.

Some of us grew up in the "chrome" generation. I still like chrome on some vehicles and think the Tacoma looks good with chrome wheels. The "blacked-out" phase is slowly ending and I think you will see a trend toward the retro look of chrome over the next 5 years.

Can't say I was a fan of these wheels, they sat in the garage most of the time I owned this truck, put them back on for trade in day!
