I doubt that shudder is normal. Mine doesn't do it. How long have you had it? I've only had mine about 4 months.....

My first Toyota was a 1987 used pre-Tacoma, if I recall, that was the first year Toyota went to the independent front suspension, and I was convinced that Toyota had ruined the truck, but I got a good deal. I ran it for about 8 years until it completely rusted out. That 22R still ran perfect. I then bought a new 1998 1st gen Tacoma with the 2.7L and 5 speed manual gearbox. I ran that truck for 10 years until Toyota bought it back on the rust recall issue that they had in 2008. I traded that in for a 2008 2nd gen, same engine and gearbox. I ran that truck for 350K miles and 15 years, then I bought the current 2023 SR5 with the V6 and automatic (I ain't getting any younger, LOL). I love the '23, but it has a long way to go until it proves as reliable and trouble-free as the 2008, which was my favorite truck of them all. I loved all of them, but the 2nd gen was the bomb.

Love mine. OTT tune fixed drivability issues. Paint, fitment aesthetics are as expected for Toyota quality expectations. But I did get a recall notice, the hunk of shit!

So there I was driving my brand new Tacoma and thinking about how many cats could fit in a long bed vs a short bed.

Yeah you sound pretty lucky. My only dodge experiences are second hand, numerous and awful.

You’re saying Tacoma loving boomers are more apt to hate dodge? Near as I can tell the average age on this forum is 60+

Of course we’re talking about little cats. I’m not crazy. If wanted to carry around a bunch of Maine coons I’d be over on the Tundra forum! :bananadance:

I never owned a Toyota, never even sat in a Tacoma much less test drove one. But I bought one and they delivered it to my house 6 months later. It's feckin' awesome! I love it!
