Repainted my grill center, brushed the crome with scotch-brite to dull it and restored headlights today. Pretty happy with the results.

Got my header ordered today:D I went with the obx stainless steel. I also ordered a pioneer head unit, I need the single din so I can put a cb under the head unit, any ideas on subwoofer placement for 1 8" subwoofer. I'd like it to be as hidden as possible. Also what do you guys think of the color of the grill center, thinking of doing my wheels the same color.

Toyota wheels have a 106.1 mm center bore while GM wheels have a 78.1 mm center bore. Did you use the wheel spacers so the hub doesn't contact the wheel bore? Do you get vibrations at highway speeds this way?

No vibes, and yes the spcers are to clear the hubs, I figured lug centric is what it is, so it doesn't really bother me. I do plan to machine the bores out though.

I haven't heard much, good or bad about the obx headers. As long as they seal up good it'll beat the shit out of my stock busted up manifold. Maybe i'll finally be able to get the exhaust to run through my thrush muffler LOL

    And installed in the truck.
$85 for the head unit. already had the CB and the wiring kit for the head unit from an old yota. Also scored a UWS toolbox on Clist for $75, kinda rough will be getting painted matallic grey.[IMG]
    And with the lid painted.

I used scotch-brite red pads to sand, wiped it down with denatured alchohol, then used paint for aluminum wheels, so I sprayed it directly to aluminum, no primer, we'll see how it holds up

I did not even think about the pads. I tried hand sanding mine when I painted it black but it was too tough to get inbetween the diamonds with the paper, so now I've got some chipping on the sides. oh well. live and learn

Yeah it's a real PITA to sand, the pads work pretty well, and if it doesn't hold up I'll just try something else.

My header arrived. Looks nice, but definately not a complete kit. the only gasket that came with it is the header gasket.

    First the old manifold
