    Thanks,

I feel kinda silly, after all , she is just a dog right? Not even my do, really. She has always been my wife's girl. I say that, but it really broke my hear to see her in the state she was this afternoon, then to hear the doctor say that she could die.

    She's a good girl.

Not silly at all John. My dogs are like kids to me. I'd rather them be happy than me be happy.

There no such thing as "just a dog" Dogs are better than a lot of people. They are a family member who just happens to have fur, four feet, and a tail

Just got off the phone with the doctor. Piggy is doing slightly better today an is holding down some water and a little bit of food. He is still concerned about some of her blood levels as the results could point to liver or kidney disease.

Their facility does not have staffing on the weekends to keep her so we have the choice of transferring her to a local 24/7 hospital or taking her home with us. I see no reason to pay someone to change her bandage, give her meds and keep an eye on her when we can do the same thing in a more comfortable and familiar surrounding.

we will take her home this afternoon and take care of her ourselves and get her back to see Dr. Pote for a follow up early next week. Hopefully, the blood test results were skewed by the infection and she will be okay for a while longer.

I'm sure that it will, she gets scared easily. Having her stuffed animals and Luna (our other bully) usually make her feel safer.
