    Anyone do this yet on a 3rd gen? My 285/75/16s are rubbing slightly and im gonna do this soon. I just want to see pics and get advice from people who have already done it on a 3rd gen.

    I did this (as well as the cab mount chop) on my 07 so I could run 285s.

    My only tip is: BFH.

    I tried with a 2lb sledge and ended up going out for a 10 pounder, which made all the difference.

    I did it.

    It's pretty straightforward. See pinch weld. Hammer it flat (which is harder than it sounds). Paint flat pinch weld. Have beer.

    Thanks i read up on some 2nd gen pinch mod related stuff, figured it would be relatively the same for a 3rd gen. Did you guys cut the plastic over it or heat gun it

    I'd do heat and see if you can mold it. I don't run liners, but wish I did.
