Haha. I thought you'd say that. :D Maybe another time, but when you're itching to go let me know. A nice ride on the MTB, tie it down, then head off to PV for a trail run sounds like fun to me. I'm skipping PV today. I know I won't make it as I barely did last time with tires that need replacing.

Even though I fucked up my bumper and tail light it was still a blast!!! Off-roading in snow in San Diego doesn't happen often! :D

I got trapped in a nasty rut. No big deal. I just need a tail light and eventually a new bumper.

Well today the Pine Valley Powder puff trail was anything but easy, it was completely saturated , super slick clay & some truly deep & wide ruts that required good spotters both going down & coming back up , some of the ruts we straddled were "wheel-to-wheel" wide & about 3-4 ft. deep. We didn't go all the way because the final down hill section was just too wet & slick & too steep to feel comfortable taking the pre runners down it because it would be pretty damned hard to get back up it , it was tough for the 4wheelers in a few spots not even taking into account that the prerunners would need to be strapped up sections where the locked 4x' were struggling to get thru, but what an awesome run (IMO) & thats not to take anything away from the Pre Runners, they did great, its just that it was that chewed up & slick. AND I was right, it started snowing about an hour or so after we started. Derek drove thru a truck eating rut & paid the price by getting the right rear tail lite ripped out of his truck but excellent driving skills Bro' & good judgement by stopping before going down the last down hill section I mentioned earlier. AND IT WAS/IS SNOWING LIKE HELL !! I mean snow flakes the size of quarters,Matt ( ReCkle tAcO) did some excellent spotting today thru the tricky sections..:eek:
It was great to meet some new faces & MAJOR props to YumaTRD for making the drive from Yuma,AZ just to be in on this run.

Matt is gonna upload some pics & videos when they get back from Mnt. Laguna & I've got a feeling that they're gonna be great, cRaZy oLD mAn wasn't crazy after all when I predicted snow, but I had a good tip to the weather from Chrissy Russo (Fox news weather) when I talked to her the other day. Thanks to all who showed up to make this a fun & definintly challenging day & I hope those who decided to stay & offroad had a good time , I sure as hell did..:cool::cool:

Derek my man... you are getting crazier by the moment. Haha. I had the feeling someone was going to eat shit. I'm looking forward to the pictures and video. It sure looked beautiful out there.

Hey Derek, did you make it past that area where Ron & I stopped the last time? Just curious to know. I knew it was going to be real muddy.

The cool part is that the light still works, the bad part is that it is cracked into 4 pieces. :)

I didn't even notice. It didn't feel like I hit hard.

I got to the bottom of the rut and Kim was like "Oh shit, your tail light!". Then I look in the mirror and it's just dangling there.
