A friend and I (taco as well) never been to this place & been wanting to go, reading all stories/excitement on the forums seem a nice place for PreRunners too.

However, due to the recent weather conditions, will Pine Valley be PreRunner friendly? Unless somoene with 4x4 here wants to join us? Yet, anyone can join!

    Thanks yall

You should be fine. There's one area that may be rutted out pretty bad, just be careful.

Depends on how the weather is out there. 7 inches of snow is supposed to drop in Mt Laguna 5 miles away.......might be a bad weekend for a group of PreRunners.

    Probably not

But there will be plenty of slush/muck/mud/ruts/broken tail lights/busted bumpers :rimshot:, Friday and Saturday are only going to get up to 60 out there so its not going to dry out quickly.

    Busted tail lights?!!?! :anonymous:

Yeah you guys should find a 4x4 just in case! More than likely you'll be ok, but you never know.

If you both head out you'll be fine...usually I'd be down but I have other plans. As long as you're not alone you'll be fine. I assure you.

    I've lost track
I was just up at pine valley last weekend and the final down section before the helicopter pad was pretty rutted out...and that was before rain. The big rut that got derek doesnt look as bad, like you could probably go around it easy, but coming back up the last part might be tough. I'd go with someone 4x4 just in case

    :eek:HAHA

Like everyone said. If you go this weekend, it should be REALLY fun. It'll be muddy and with prerunners you will have to get some momentum going up some of the muddy inclines but you should be ok.
Last time I went out with the TW guys when it was drizzling/snowing (towards the top) I made it without any problems & I have a prerunner. I don't think it'll be a good idea to go down that long decline towards the heli pad because the only way out is through that same trail & if it's muddy, it'll be pretty tough to get out without at least a locker. But up until that spot, you will be fine.

    Hello Guys,

I just got back from Pine Valley & I have to admit it was good first time experience. Even with the recent weather conditions I did not have one single problems at all. It was my first off road trip ever!!

I can't wait to run with you guys on the next upcoming event. However, Matt (RecklessTaco) did messaged me to ride with his group but I couldn't bail out on my friend who's been wanting to goto Pine Valley. (4x4 Ford ;/)

    Here are the pics

Since my friend didn't have a camera on him, I decided to take some picture of his Taco while driving lol
