I was waiting on more people to confirm the dates. AFAIK my family isn't heading up any certain dates but I'm leaning more towards the 25-26th. I talked to Matt who lives up there and he said he knows of other trails and parts of the Niagara Rim Trail that we could do.

25th-26th should work for me if you are planning to still go. I really need to get out so this will be a close short trip that I need to get away.

My trail book only shows Dodge Ridge (easy), Eagle Peak (moderate), and Niagara Rim (difficult) in the area.

    x3 for that weekend :D

Eagle Peak (moderate) might fit us well

I just did Eagle Peak a couple of weekends ago. It's an awesome view and a good trail, but very mild. I would classify it as more of a easy trail. It took us about 45 minutes to get there from the lake. There are a lot more trails that stem off that one though. He also mentioned Eagle Meadows. I'm checking today to see if those dates are open.

Ok well I've talked with my parents and I have some bad news. The weekends of 25-26 and labor day weekend have been claimed. My family gets first dibs and my 2 brothers wanted weekends to go. Also I can't do the 18-19th so this trip is on hold. We could probably make a late September/October trip before the snow comes.

I will be up there Labor Day weekend with my parents and my family if anyone wants to camp out. The cabin will be full, but there are plenty of places to camp around Pinecrest and I will be hitting up some trails.

Oh man, I live in Twain Harte, just about 20 minutes from Pinecrest. I won't be able to stay the whole weekend, but I would love to at least swing up there to put my feet in the water and meet a few of you in this area.

I'm in Japan now, but coming back this weekend.

No this isn't happening. Couldn't get the cabin for this weekend unfortunately.
