Hey all, I recently replaced a leaking pinion seal on my rear 8.4 diff. Leak is fixed, but I'm curious what temp is kosher on the diff, and what inch lbs you guys saw for drag? My drag before replacement seemed "loose", and once I replaced I got it at approximately 12 inch lbs. My diff temp is floating at 155-160 running 65 for 30 miles, with an ambient temp of 90. Diff has 4.88 gears, Detroit locker and I'm running 37x12.50 tires. Gear oil is 85w-140.

Those temps sound about right with 37s

That's what I was thinking, but I didn't measure temp for a baseline before hand. I was worried I went too tight on the bearing and was creating excess heat.
