Pink tape?

Replacing the rear speakers in my 07 AC today and when I pulled the door card off I was very surprised to see pink electrical tape was used on the wiring harness. Never seen that before. (at least not from the factory) Passenger side was pink, drivers side was all yellow tape. Both looked factory original.

Just thought it was amusing, probably common on Tacomas but it was something new to me.

(Yes I did get a third mounting bolt installed after taking the photo)

Even cooler is that, now I know what the door latch mechanism looks like

 

They use whatever is on the assembly line. I've seen green, blue, white, black...

 

They use the different colors to ensure it goes on the correct door.

 

Damn it, I was gonna say that!

 

At least we now know what to play when test firing the new speakers.
