    Anyone have one?

Looking for wireless Carplay. This one seems to have lots of features. I know the Alpine appears to be the popular choice, but I'm looking around. Do either work with the factory mic or will I have to mount the clip on?

We can all agree the low-end stock head units are crap and I spend a lot of time in my truck. Time to upgrade.

    Thoughts/opinions are welcome.

I'm curious about this as well, and following. You might get better traction in the Audio/Video forum.

Looks great! I'm currently installing the same unit. I have it all wired up but I am having trouble with getting the bracket to get the head unit to sit high enough. Putting the factory bracket on the new head unit, the screen sits about 4" too low.

Did you use Metra for the housing?

I got this exact radio with the Maestro (https://www.crutchfield.com/S-ByOQ1HeXTGv/p_794ADSMRR/iDatalink-Maestro-RR-Interface-Module.html). In the process of adding a front camera to it too, but need to update the Maestro for that.

I use the clip on mic, but I think you can use the stock one. I didn’t know how to wire for the stock mic and running the wire wasn’t bad at all for the Pioneer one.

Mine has been very reliable for wireless Apple CarPlay. Can count on two hands a few weird disconnects in the almost 2 years I’ve had it and turning the radio off and on fixed the issue. I just updated from 1.00 to 1.02 firmware as well, which was a breeze if you’re moderately capable with a computer. Haven’t had any connection issues since updating.
