I would have assumed they would be, but I don't know why they only have 4 wires on the adapter when there are 6 speakers.

Because the stock front door speakers (main and tweeters) are wired off of the same HU outputs, in series I believe. In other words, there are only two wires per door.

I agree, but I think they are configured in parallel form with the "tweeter" connected to a capacitor to filter some frequencies. I used the metra harness I get sound from speaker and tweeter.

    Thanks, that makes sense.

I was looking at getting the scoshe one since it is like $4, but I may pay the extra $10 and get the metra... I would assume the scoshe one would do the same though.

Did you have any trouble hooking up the parking break wire? Or did you just use a bypass? I've got the same head unit but haven't had an opportunity to install it yet.

Was that just a straight ground bypass, or did you need a relay or something?

Why would you need a parking brake wire when the unit plays no video?

because it won't let you enter addresses and some other things while moving, I don't remember exactly what else right now. I bypass mine too, connected it to ground.

That was my other reason why they would make you do that. So all you do is connect it to a ground and it'll work?

Yes, I grounded it to the unit's ground wire.

Ok, got mine mostly installed. Here's some pics.
    1. The installed head unit it's self. It fit the stock mounting bracket so all you really need is the wiring harness.
    2. I used the usb extension cable included with the head unit to put the usb connection in the glove box. That way its out of sight, but still accessible.
    3. This is where I'm planning on mounting the mic. I'm going to mock up that location for the mic with cardboard and make sure the audio pickup works well before drilling the plastic cover for the mic. The green wire on the floor is the part you are supposed to connect to the parking break indicator wire.

I put my gps antenna behind the airbag inside the dash. The antenna is magnetic and it hooked to a pipe there without difficulty. It works just fine through the plastic dash.

I'm planning on getting the HD radio module, as there are not a lot of mounting options that will probably go in the glove box as well. Though I'm open to other suggestions on where to mount the module.

I put mine behind the radio, there is a small space between the dash and the A/C air duct.
