FS: Pioneer AVIC Z series headunit. This is Pioneer's previous generation flagship DVD/NAV receiver. The unit is labelled as a Z2, but the hardware inside all generations of the Z series (Z1, Z2, Z3) is exactly the same. The previous owner on here (8thsin) had swapped the 30GB hard disk out with a larger, 60GB, unit containing the Z3 software and 2008 navigation maps and POI's. The additional hard disk space is accessible to be used to store more music. The software also contains a hack that allows DVD's to be played without the parking brake engaged (The Z series also uses the vehicle speed sensor to try and stop you from viewing DVD's while moving, however the upgraded hard drive bypasses that as well).

It also comes with the CD-IB100II ipod adapter, which allows full ipod control from the head unit.

The bummer is that the CD/DVD player stopped working, I was going to ship it to this place in VA to have it fixes but never really used the cd player anyway. if you want it fixed this guy does it for 119.00 the price includes all parts. Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-AVIC-Z1-...item5ad281e06e

The only reason I am selling it is I traded my truck in and he vehicle I purchased came with the factory nav.

I paid 600 for it 8 months ago I am looking to get 400 shipped.

Hmmm. Im tempted. I just installed new audio in my Taco and im going to be returning the stereo as I didnt like it after using it for a week. I was going to buy a touch Pioneer that I saw and liked but it doesnt have GPS.

The only thing not working on it is the CD/DVD?
