Front Camera Settings - Courtesy of iDataLink

"In order for the front camera command to work the radio needs to know "where" the front camera input is. To set this up you'll go to: System Settings-OEM settings-Maestro Settings-SWIPE DOWN FROM THE TOP OF THE SCREEN- Camera Settings-Camera Assignement (this may not initially show and you may need to swipe up to see this option, and often times with the UI this is a difficult swipe/scoll to initiate)- then Choose Front Camera."

The only thing I will add which was missing is in all CAPS above.

    Works flawlessly now.

That’s funny, is there more than one front camera input? I only remember the one. You’d think they would assign that as the default. Probably more oversight than intentional design.

It was explained to me that within the Maestro you need to tell it where to get the signal from, which ends up being the only front camera connection. The hidden screen would be difficult to find if not for this guidance from iDataLink.

Anyone with JBL know what to do with this 24pin connector from the factory harness?
And the black 8pin connector from the iDatalink Maestro?
I also have an orange 3pin connector labeled ‘Mic’ from the Maestro as well.
Trying to find why I do not have audio…

EDIT: I found 2 additional harnesses that came with the Maestro kit and the white 24pin to black 8pin connects the above wires for backup camera. Anytime switch does not work anymore…hmmm
And I am pretty sure I blew my amp, it is showing a error code.

Anyone has this headunit on a 13-15 truck, how is the install process? Same as the 3rd gen? Simple plug and play? best buy have these on sale right now, it's time for me to finally get apple car play for the first time in a vehicle for me.

Good luck, I hate updating the firmware. It never works wirelessly for me after much time and aggravation so I always end up uploading via usb. But my usb port on the console hasn’t worked since I installed this unit so I have to remove the trim piece to access the usb in the back to do it. So frustrating for me.

no issues with the update. Did it wirelessly. No noticeable changes, but sometimes I now receive a Bluetooth exception error? Doesn’t seem to affect anything. I’ll try to get a pic of the error if I remember.

I wish it worked for me but after three firmware updates and following the instructions exactly it never works for me. I’m probably the only one and I’m pretty tech savvy. At least it’s only updated once in a while.

I get a low power connection error as well but doesn’t seem to change anything for me either.

Yes with the Maestro you will retain all vehicle settings and steering wheel controls. The only think you lose is the turn by turn directions on the small screen in the instrument cluster.[/QUOTE]

I understand it retains all the factory settings. But can you still access the same settings to make changes like you would on the factory entune?

Just to clarify, settings like changing how the locks behave after unlocking, the dimmer timer, how loud the beep is, & etc. from the entune is still accessible with this Pioneer model?

Yes, that’s correct. As long as you use a Maestro.

Could anyone figure this one out for me? I am getting an error code on my amp "DC Current was detected on the speaker outputs.” I am wondering if there is a setting that I need to change on the HU itself before I take a deep dive removing the dash/HU. I am only using the preamp outputs from HU to amp, speakers to amp. No turn-on wire because the amp has an auto turn-on feature using CH1 on the amp/RCA input.
    TIA.

Edit: Amp needed the remote turn-on wire, auto-sense does not work with this HU apparently.

I have been seeing conflicting answers for this. I have a 2017 TRD Sport with navigation but not the JBL stereo. I am wondering what cable I need to plug the usb port from the back of the Pioneer stereo into the factory usb port that is under the climate controls on the dash. I have seen it's either this: Metra AX-TOYUSB USB Port Adapter or a USB C to A adapter.

I installed this head unit with the maestro a couple of weeks ago and I’m currently having some problems and I’m hoping you guys could maybe help. The unit was working just fine for a couple of weeks.

To start, I constantly have to reset the 3d calibration otherwise the navigation is completely off. Is there a way to prevent that?

The main issue I’m having is I am unable to adjust the volume now. The volume settings are all greyed out (and will randomly show up every now and then almost like it’s flickering). Very rarely I will be able to adjust the volume for a short bit before that is gone again. This is both with the steering wheel controls and the volume buttons on the unit.

I would reset and refresh the maestro if you haven't done so already. Also ensure you have the most up to date firmware in both the HU and the maestro.

Anyone having any issues since the last update? My HU reboots 1-2 times every day now. It did not do that before the update. It happened, but rarely. Firmware version is 3.06.
