Would you be willing to modify my stock bracket if I send you my stock bracket and a small fee for your trouble?

Sorry, I have no way to do it without your stereo and truck. I have the 7600 and it’s not the same frame as u guys with the 6600. The best way I could think to do it would be lay both stereos on their face. The stock with the knobs you would have to hang off the side so it sat flat on its face. Remove one bracket off of the stock and with the stereos side by side hold the bracket up against the pioneer and then outline where it lines up on the side. I hope this makes sense. Or if u have the dash kit slide it over the pioneer and do the same as I mention above. You should be able to do it based off of the pictures the op made of his brackets?

annnnnnnd I think we have a winning combination.

I drilled holes on the oem bracket to align with the AI bracket, put some nuts behind the screws from behind the bracket, and this radio is sitting pretty damn flush now. In the previous post, notice how the unit was kinda sinking in to the dash. Adding the nuts, essentially spacers, brought it forward very nicely.

I would just use the OP picture. Should be able to line up the brackets like he did. Definitely would drive me Nuts sticking out like that. Unless of course I had the 10". something screen. Shit I should of just bought that one. lol

Route it into the area of the factory mic.

Just snagged an open box WC6600NEX off Crutchfield for $140 off. Looking forward to installing and wiring everything up! Any tips from those that have already installed this unit?

Nice! Looks like they have a few more open box options left for anyone that wants to snag it. As for tips, just take your time and have a few beer bottles handy during the installation. Everything else is pretty much covered within this thread or the discussion thread by other members. Good luck with your install!

Looks like both Crutchfield and Bestbuy are sold out for this unit.

@Ch78 did you get a chance to modify the mounting brackets to have it sit flush?

Nah, I’m lazy and it doesn’t bother me sitting out a bit. I might at some point, I’m just not in a hurry though.
