I’m posting this thread because it’s gonna be a late night and I just know I’m gonna have issues that are gonna pop-up I wasn’t prepared for…
I’m still waiting on the Crutchfield harness to get here this evening in the mail, and as I’m reading about this Natika camera, I noticed a ground and hot wire coming off the camera wire, so I humbly ask question #1. Will I be using these wires, I think with this set up, I’m just going to be taping them off, no?

Bear with me tonight boys …. It may get ugly.

Oh dam, so much for plug-and-play, this Crutchfield harness looks like it’s going to require massive splicing to the harness that goes to the back of the head unit.

    Cool stuff
Having done this myself … I would also think ahead and wire up anything you want to have in the future like HDMI in

I thought the crutchfield ready harness was supposed to keep you from having to splice a bunch of wires? Got one in the mail for the wife's Subaru for Xmas.

That’s what I thought as well, but to be clear, the harness is plug and play on the truck side, but from harness to the back of the radio, I ended up splicing around 15 wires

I saved $430 on installation …..soooooo satisfying. A little bit of skip in my step today, because I’m just so damn proud of myself.

The positive and negative were never routed back to the cabin, only the video cable & trigger wire, I wired the positive and negative under the hood,
