I have a pioneer AVIC X920 installed with a metra kit on my 09 tacoma... my questions for all fo you who have a double din reciever is

    1. How do I remove the double din faceplate once its installed without bending/cracking it?

    2. Is it possible to make adjustments to the units placement inside the dash? Id like it to fit a bit more snug and not jut out so much.

Any help is appreciated, I uploaded pics of the recievers current position.

I have to Schoche (sp?) kit so cant help you with the removal process. Should be straightforward though. The faceplate most likely snaps into a couple plastic tabs. Play with these tabs, to get it off.

The depth of the unit can easily be adjusted by slightly losening the four screws that hold the brackets onto the head-unit; and then tightening once you have the desired depth. I had to do this about 3 times to get it just how i like it.

Like the HU. i have a Pioneer AVH-P3100 and love it.
