Pismo/Ocean Dunes Potluck

I wont know the status of my truck till I get to the shop at 6 this is stressing me out to the max lol. I'll let you guys know if I can swing it tonight in another hour, otherwise I'll be heading up hopefully at 5am tomorrow

Hey do any of you guys have room for a 48gallon tool box? If not is cool. Can't find a logical place to put it

 

If I make it tonight I'll be able to put it in my truck I'm sure. I'll just have a few grocery bags, my tent/sleeping bag and a gym bag.

Heading to the shop in 30 min., hoping my truck is ready or just about ready when I get there. I'll let you guys know, but you don't have to wait up for me if you want to get a jump start I'll be right behind you assuming I get my truck back this evening.

This will be my first Tacoma meet
I'm leaving Fresno around 7am if all goes well I'll be at the dunes @ 9 am
I won't be camping cuz I didn't reserve camp sight in time

Do's and dont's for first timers
Any suggestions?

 

Will be my first time in the sand dunes too, just make sure to air down your tires, try and keep momentum and keep a sharp eye out for other trucks. Also don't take big dunes too fast cause you don't know what's on the other side, could be another truck or a big drop off. And have fun!

 

this wont be my first trip to Oceano dunes but my first TW meet.
Any pointers for first TW meet?

 

If you like to talk trucks and drink beer I think you'll do fine.

 

I'm not camping over night but I am going to Pitch a tent so my daughter can Nap/rest
How do you keep a tent from being blown away by the wind?
Won't the steaks come out of the sand easy

 

First TW meet, show off, talk trucks drink booze... Laugh & Repeat

Think someone suggested putting up plywood & blocking the wind with your truck.

It's soft. Sorry for the delay! Only took 5hours to get to camp after a few mishaps and thanks to all that helped!
