... and this is why I won't likely be going UP in tire size any time soon, lol. I couldn't do 14mpg, not with how much I drive between daily commuting and weekly wheeling trips. At least not until I get a separate daily driver one day.

    Or one of these...

...as much as I don't care for the lowered truck look, I'd totally rock a lowered late 70's model 2wd pickup (as long as I still had my 04 4x4 to compensate).

I'm looking for a gas saver, but something I can screw around in and what's better than a 30 mpg Miata I can drift around the roundabouts by my house ? :burnrubber: plus it's a small car so it'd feel like driving a 5 speed go kart !

You'd need to do quite a bit to drift an older Miata if its stock. I've got a friend who's all in to them. The stock motor is a dog, and only moves the car because of how light it is. I've driven it.:ballchain:

Says it drifts like a champ in the rain tho:rofl:

Too bad they don't make a Prius with a manual trans, then I'd get one as a second commuter car.

Only way I'll ever be caught in a car/truck with an auto is if I lose a leg or get married, whichever comes first

I always wanted a stick, but my parents didn't want me to get one as my first car , so all my paychecks are going straight to my savings until I can afford the Miata and the insurance lol

    This is true... :annoyed:

I'll just have to get insanely rich and import one from another country and pay the ridiculously high taxes on it :notsure:

I prefer a manual transmission, I just lack in the patience department and didn't want to wait any longer for one to be available.

I don't really regret it tho. Wheeling is definitely easier when you don't have to play fancy footwork on steep hills.

I do give props to Toyota though for continuing to appease us by offering it with at least one or two trim levels still, I think Nissan is the only other auto maker that does that with their trucks still.

Yeah I'd be lying if I said I didn't get frustrated with it on the trails sometimes, it's definitely a workout.

That and right now I'm throwing a ton of money at clutch issues which isn't exactly making the whole "manuals are cheaper than autos to maintain" thing true, at least not for me...
