When issuing parts to mechanics at work i dont research if it is what they should be getting. I assume they know and issue what they ask for.

Okay, I am a little confused. Did you pick what you wanted or did the sales person suggest which components would work best? I would expect them to be somewhat knowledgeable as well but I wouldn't expect a random salesperson to know what would work best for my specific application since Wheeler's doesn't specialize in only Tacoma trucks. I do make sure what exactly I need because I almost made the same error you did.

You will not fit a 10" travel shock in the rear without extending the bumpstops up a decent amount.
Even then, I still run an EVS foam shock shaft bump stop to keep the 5125's from eating themselves.
A 9.25" travel shock is what you want for a 2-3" lift.
Lower than that you want the 8.5" travel shocks.

Gotta love it when people blame the salesman.

Isn't this what our society is about now a days..."it can't be my fault...it's your fault" Let's point the finger to the other guy that isn't here, that way he can't defend himself.

I love the world we live in...why can't we just take responsibility for the the actions and decisions we make??

The 8.5 or 9.25 is what I believe I should have been sold with the springs I got. My fault. I thought I had read enough and asked enough questions. I didn't

That's why I just got an already put together 5100 kit from Toytec since I now the components were put together specifically for the Tacoma so it would work. Granted, your route may have been cheaper. I'm okay with spending some more money if it will avoid headaches in the future.
