Um yeah I did do that, so what. However, I laid out and linked the txt directly from Ca.gov. You’ll have to site a specific thing I said that contradicts the txt of CA PC 25400, which lays out transportation and consequences with a firearm pretty well.

Unless your issue is that because YOU don’t have a registered firearm, and I was too general and didn’t specifically mention that it CAN be felony for all the people who CHOSE to not register and acquired firearm, and CONTINUE to not, as you can still file a BOE. But your arguing your own unique situation. Not the fact that 100,000s gun owner are registered legal, law abiding citizens. Which my statement was generalized to.

My bad if that was the case, next time I’ll be sure to show up with a power point presentation to go over the ENTIRE PC code, and make sure we include everyone who may already be defying the laws, and let them know...there’s a wobbler in there...for people who have unregistered firearms...or are barred from owning a firearm...or other basic redundant, obvious other points.

I appendix carry a G19 in a raven concealment eidolon holster (fits my body type the best). When it's not on me I just throw it in the floor board... Probably not the best spot but most of the time it's on me. The holster is uncomfortable empty so I take both off. I also recommend a tau striker control device if you are appendix carrying a glock.

Op, you need to decide what you’re trying to accomplish. If you’re looking for something to secure your gun when you need to leave it in the car, then really your only option is a safe that is in the center console. Glove box is fine for the rare occasion you need to run into the post office or something quick, but if you do this on the regular I’d want something more secure than the plastic glove box.
If you’re looking for something to just simply remove the gun from your person while you’re driving because it will be “more comfortable” then you haven’t thought this through. Every time you remove your gun from your holster to a truck mounted holster like those pictured from victory 4x4 (which admittedly looks super cool) you’re opening the door for administrative handling of the gun. The more administrative gun handling, the more chances for mistakes. Mistakes WILL happen. I carry AIWB daily, and even on days when Im wheeling, I’m the truck for 10 hours or more, I don’t mind the gun. Get a good holster. Try a lot of holsters. Find what works for you to be comfortable and keep the gun on you.
Only two belts I actually use. Love my Hanks, even when I’m without my gun.

I carry appendix at all times. If you can't do a long car ride with it get a better holster and learn to carry it better. Also if you carry on your person learn to fight from your car, how to egress from the car and how to move to cover ( long axis ) of the car. Situationally dependent (where I'm going) I may have a foldable Mk18 locked behind rear seat as well. If you have a truck gun also practice using it from inside your vehicle, it is much longer and requires additional considerations.

Absolutely. A lot of people have got in serious trouble by not knowing the laws of states they were traveling through. MA, NY, and NJ come to mind, but there are others.

Hanks makes belts, but not holsters. The picture is a bit confusing.

I leave my firearm in my truck unlocked most of the time over night. What do you think about that?

I've only used leather for CCW and haven't experienced any of these issues.

And this is with all metal P220's and 1911's.

Lots of good suggestions in here depending on what the OP is looking for. However, please don't use a magnetic holder for an un-holstered weapon in a vehicle. Keep it on your person, in a locked box or in a securely mounted holster.

In a small accident they can fall from the magnet putting you in a position where it may not be concealed or you may not know where it is. An accident can be distracting and losing track of your firearm (because you think you know where it is) while dealing with the fallout of an accident is a bad way to go. In Texas for example it cannot be in plain view. If it has fallen or slid and an officer sees it before you secure it then you may lose your permit. If someone 'helping' sees it it may be gone. If you are handling it to secure it after an accident your intent may be misunderstood by someone on the scene. All bad scenarios.

In a larger accident, even if not mounted by an airbag, it first becomes a significant projectile and then it can become a problem at the scene if it leaves the vehicle. If you are hurt you may not be aware enough to know it is missing. If you are not hurt then you don't want to be explaining to the police how you don't know where your gun is at an accident scene.

Exactly. You better know the laws inside-out.... Example:
Here in WA. state (And I think ID. is the same) ... It's fairly easy to get a CCP. When in a vehicle, it gets a bit muddled.
You can carry, while driving, no prob as long as it's CONCEALED on your PERSON.
So in other words, You can have it under your jacket, no prob. If it's open ... As in some sort of holster you've attached somewhere inside the rig ... Even if it's buried under the dash somewhere that you might easily access ... You may be in for a bit of trouble.
If you ever get pulled over for something, at least here because of the CCP laws, I guarantee you the first thing you'll get asked is 'Do you have any weapons in your vehicle?' ... And then 'Do you know why I pulled you over?' .. Then 'May I see your license and registration please' .. etc.
So you really have to do your homework and know exactly what is what. Especially if you live next to a state line and go back and forth all the time.

LOL. In North Carolina if you don't have a CCP you have to keep in UN-concealed in your vehicle. Stupid law has people displaying their piece on the dash driving around.
