PITA lower shock bolt

    Damnit!!! the dealer has had mine 5 weeks today for the frame and no estimate when they'll be done. Your truck looks brand new, nice job!

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
    Neither heat nor cold breaks up rust. Its the expanding or contracting of the metal that breaks the rust. Its not rocket science. If you have a bolt stuck inside something you DONT WANT TO EXPAND IT.

    As far as mine looking new...
    In addition to the frame being replaced, in the last 6 months I have replaced or restored: fuel tank, entire rear assembly, both drive shafts and carrier bearing, rear springs and shocks, rear bumper, front bumper (will be replaced with Shrockworks), pulled the bed and did the underside, all the heat shields, rear 1/3 of exhaust system and now currently replacing front shocks and UCA, all 4 CV boots .... the list just seems to go on forever so yeah, shes getting close to brand new. (only has 37 K miles)

    Yeah I got a Suzuki SUV, they keep saying any day now the parts will be in.. That's a whole lot of work! I got a whole bunch of parts waiting too! An I plan on keeping it undercoated with fluid film. At 37k in that shape that's an amazing truck!

    Make sure all the weight is off the shock .

    A sweet spot mine seem to pop right out

    THIS! First, try compressing the coilover with a crowbar against the LCA. You will likely need a second person to do that and hammer out the bolt. If that doesn't work, you may need to compress the coil with the compressors you can rent at parts stores. Find the sweet spot and hammer it out. Try heating also. It is likely binded.
