This is my first time setting up a group buy, so if I miss anything, let me know!

My BBQ team has been working on various aspects of our craft for some time. One such aspect is our very own BBQ rub, called Pitfaced BBQ Rub-a-Dub. Member @scottalot caught wind of this in food smoking thread in the OT forum and bought some from me. I think it's safe to say he enjoyed the stuff. After a quick feeler, I've decided to offer up our rub for a good price to TW members!

Our rub is a good blend of a little sweet with a slight touch of heat and packed with flavor. This is now used exclusively on ribs and chicken when we cook for private events, though it works great on almost any meat, including brisket if you're tired of basic salt & pepper rubs. You don't have to BBQ with it, either. Thick cut pork chops? Slap some on both sides and pan fry in the house; you'll love it. It is even good on fish. This rub got us a first place finish in ribs and a third in chicken at the Bedford Blues Festival's "Backyard BBQ" competition last year.

We're knocking a couple of bucks off of our normal pricing which brings it down in price to just below some other specialty rubs like Meat Church and Oakridge BBQ, for instance (typically $12/lb + $7 shipping + tax). Shipping within the US is included in these prices!

All sizes will be shipped in a vacuum sealed bag that fits in the same flat rate package and we're giving an additional discount on the rub over 1 lb, so there is even better value in the larger sizes.

We will have a minimum of 20 lbs ready to ship on Monday, June 12th. Here is why 20 lbs is significant. As a stretch goal, if we reach 20 lbs (not orders!) sold by Sunday, June 11th, we'll knock an extra $1 off of your order ($1 refund will be issued to those that already paid). Stretch goal has been met! The reduced pricing is now reflected above!

Additionally, all orders (stretch goal or not) will receive Pitfaced BBQ cooking instructions for pork spareribs.

After the first 20 lbs, orders for the next 20 lbs may have an additional 1 week lead time. We plan to be able to ship out 20 lbs each Monday in June, starting with the 12th. If we can improve that, we will! This particular group buy will close on June 30th, with the last orders going out by July 3rd.

***UPDATE***
Due to an amazingly overwhelming response, we have to put a cap on the group buy. As of 06/18, there are 19 pounds remaining in this group buy before it closes down! The list in post # reflects where the last 19 pounds will be going! We will be back once we build up an inventory, but don't wait and get on this batch while you can! Thank you all for the support!

On a scale of 1 - 10 for heat, I would put the rub at about a 4. The heat is only on the back end.
