    Just about to rest a pork shoulder I cooked that is slathered in Meat Massage! That sucker cooked QUICK! I snuck a little piece for myself when I was moving it on the grate...tasted good! I know it's going to be even better after the rest.

    Wow! Chicken looks great.

    We're going to have to cook half chickens for the IBCA event they added this Labor Day weekend, so I need to start practicing!


    As for the pint glasses, my laser beam guy's mother passed away recently. I cooked for the family gathering following the service. We're going to trade that brisket for some pint glasses. As soon as he's up and running, I'll have them ready for purchase!

    I also am moving very soon (20th) so my address will be changing but I still want my glasses as soon as I can order. I can always ship to a friends house. Technically I'll be a bit closer to ya @bvbull200 . 35 mins down from previous total. ish...

    I'm realizing that my phrasing may have come across a little cold, which I didn't intend.

    I know him well and the passing of his mother was not altogether unexpected. He asked if I'd cook a brisket and I didn't hesitate to say yes. We didn't discuss paying for it and I wasn't going to charge anything (not even cost). Never crossed my mind, was just happy to help.

    He thanked me for doing it and asked if I still needed some glasses as he was going to do them for me as a token of appreciation. He's in good spirits, so maybe that is why I don't mind discussing it so casually.

    Probably more info than needed, but wanted to be sure all was in perspective.


    It'll be good to have you a little closer! You might have to join @Iamraiderpower at the block party. :D

    Nothing other than Labor Day officially on the books, but that will be a big one.

    I can also assure you that there will be another event at the motorcycle shop like you attended last year. It will be in July or August most likely.

    Trying really hard to put another event on the schedule, but our personal calendars are pretty full and, as for competitions, our pockets are pretty shallow :( :laugh:.

    Worked it out with my laser beam guy. In exchange for the cook I did, I'll be getting 24 etched pint glasses.

    I head out of town, soon, so they won't be available until the first week of May, but they're getting done!
