Thanks for all the input and helping me along the way!
I knew it was good. I've had it before, I wasnt the one to cook. Its always been amazingly prepared by Maner @Bigdaddy4760. I've helped him a few times now wanting to learn and decided I was ready to give it a try myself. I've never smoked before so I was happy to at least already know of a good rub! I ordered this knowing I was going to try my hand at it sometime. I ordered it like a month ago and figured it was time to put it to use.
I've enjoyed all the rubs they offer. Now that I have a good rub I figure its time to learn how to smoke with it!

Hell yeah man! Smoking meats and cooking outside in general is one of my favorite things! I hope to get a stick burner at some point in the future but for now, the pellet smoker has been a treat! The one thing about getting good at this is that everyone is always going to want your meat :D:);):bananadance:

I'm using a pellet smoker also. Once I start getting better and more into it I may make the move to wood but that time is pretty far away since today was my first attempt.

I first learned with a gutted old fridge model. GE stickburner it was. I’m all for automation, I use industrial probes to monitor temps all the time. I’d go stir crazy if I couldn’t poke, prod or mess with it some. All that matters is the happy faces when you finally sit down & eat in the end. Happy Smokin’.

    Wouldn't you like to know!
Did some baby backs this weekend with Spicy Meat Massage and they turned out great! Overall it may be a tad bit too spicy for us so next time we'll do half regular and half spicy. I'm getting hungry just looking at the pics again haha.

Round 2 smoke session is started with a small pork butt and Dino Ribs on for today. Both are rubbed with Pitface BBQ Spicy Meat Massage from @bvbull200. After my first attempt and talking about it with @Bigdaddy4760, he said it sounded like I was running hot so I've added some temp gauges recommended by him to get a better reading. Testing today before starting I found that last time with it set to 225 I was likely really running a lot hotter up around 275-300. Running the smoker set to 175 now and I'm getting a pit temp reading between 210-225 now.
Rubbed down last night ready for today!

Thrown on around 8:30 today once I got the temps in a good range.

Should be. It was good last time but left a plenty of room for improvement in the cooking. Better monitoring of the temp should really help me end with a better finished product.

Great 2nd smoke today! Really enjoying the Spicy rub from Pitface BBQ @bvbull200. Dino ribs turned out good. Ended up going 9hrs and wrapping at 160°. Think I may have slightly over cooked them but still juicy and tender with good flavor! Had some bread and cheesy scalloped potatoes as sides for dinner. :hungry:

The pork butt came out even better. Took a little taste after shredding it and its quite juicy with lots of flavor. Gonna vacuum seal and freeze some of it for lunches over the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Temp fluctuations were pretty big so we'll work on fixing that to get it to hold temps better. I'm going with the wind(definitely not my dog Teq:anonymous:) caused it to fall off a table onto the ground and the doors pretty bent up now.
